Moving From Ireland to USA
These days it is more important than ever to be aware of the strict rules and laws governing immigration into the United States. At JIT Removals, our international move experts have the answers you will need in order to ensure a trouble-free passage into this great country.
When you are planning a move to the United States, it is crucial that you understand the procedure for clearing customs, the typical duty on household goods, whether you can bring your pet and/or your car, quarantine periods, and other laws and regulations that may differ from Ireland and the rest of the European Union. For example, in order to avoid paying customs duty, your household goods must have been owned by you for at least a year before their arrival into the USA. It is also important to note that to avoid potentially large charges your shipment must not arrive in the United States before you do.
Once you submit a request for a quote, we will contact you to discuss your specific needs. We provide door-to-door removals to places like New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco and everywhere in between the east and west coasts, as well as Alaska and Hawaii!
